Spray Drying
Spray drying is a technique utilized in the food, pharmaceutical, pigment, and catalyst industries to produce small particles of controlled size. Atomized solution or slurry is introduced as a spray into a chamber. The chamber may be heated, or a heated carrier gas utilized in conjunction with the spray, or both. As the spray solvent evaporates, dry particles are left behind and collected. Particles can be single-composition or compound or composite composition.
