Project Description
Rice Cakes
I have eaten a lot of various cakes and breads, and occasionally feel tired. Today I brought you a red bean rice cake, which is simple and quick to make, and it is also very sweet. I haven’t had much to stay at home recently, and I have started to cook good food again.
The main ingredient in it is rice noodles, which can be used after the dry rice is made into noodles with a cooking machine. Whip the egg whites until there are small bubbles. You don’t need to whip until there are small hooks like making cakes. If you want to exercise, you can also use a manual egg beater to operate. Then mix the rice flour with sugar and baking powder, stir evenly and steam it in a pot.
It’s very delicious to eat just like this, but with some red bean paste in the middle, it will taste more dense. In addition to the red bean paste, you can also press the steamed purple potato into a puree to make the filling. You can even sprinkle a handful of raisins before steaming, it is super delicious and suitable for children.
Take advantage of the summer to make this kind of rice cake, and give the whole family something different in size.
Ingredients
200g rice noodles
Granulated sugar (0 carat sugar) 50g
Baking powder 4g
210g egg white
Blended oil 55g
Red bean paste
Step
1. Mix rice flour, sugar and baking powder for later use.
2. Start to beat the egg whites. This only needs to be beaten until there are small bubbles.
3. Add the blended oil to the protein paste and mix well, then add the powder prepared in advance, and mix well to form a flowable paste.
4. Pour into a flat-bottomed baking dish or other flat-bottomed container, and steam on medium heat for about 18-20 minutes.
5. After steaming, remove from the mold, smear the red bean paste on the surface, cut into small pieces of appropriate size, and stack them together to complete the rice cake.
The rice cakes just out of the pot are steaming hot. You can take a bite before you can cut them. Each bite has the fragrance of rice, which is simple and warm released in the mouth. However, the rice cakes with fillings will have a richer taste, and the sweet red bean fillings are soft and glutinous in every bite. If you eat this kind of hot food, you feel that life is more hopeful.
