Ultrasonic Slicing For Thermal Material Blocks

We are desgining a slicing machine for our customer’s thermal interface material pad pilot line. Their currently slice blocks (about the same hardness as a block of cheese) using Cheersonic ultrasonic blades on their very custom equipment. The blocks are about 50mm x 50mm x 300mm. This block weighs 2 kg. This slice thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 5.0mm.

The UFM2100 can be used to slice blocks that are 250mm x 250mm x 450-600mm. This block will weigh 50-100kg. So material handling and tolerance is very critical to get a consistent slice thickness.
