Project Description

Organic Solar Cells Gradually Gain Stability

In recent years, the number of studies on the stability of organic solar energy has begun to increase. Through research, the scientific community has a deeper understanding of the attenuation mechanism behind organic solar cells, and has developed many feasible methods to improve its stability. It is gratifying that some specific types of organic solar cells have recently been proven to have long-term stability. The recent work of the Brabec research group pointed out that the life of certain non-fullerene organic solar cells can be as long as 10 years. The Forrest research team also proved a single-cell organic solar cell manufactured by full thermal evaporation with a predicted outdoor life of up to 27,000 years.
